How much do the Globes cost to rent?

We have a number of Globe experience packages:

  • A Standard Globe Reservation is two hours in length and seats up to 8 guests for just $75. Food and drink a la carte.

  • Bubbly Bubbles is our answer to the weekend mimosa brunch with your pals. Available on select mornings for two hours and up to 8 guests for just $150 which includes a mimosa kit; 2 bottles of champagne and 3 juices.

  • Special Events POP UPS will be scheduled throughout the Globe season; Santa Visits, Galentine's Day, First-Come First-Served Nights, Valentine's Day, etc.

How long can we stay in the globe?

The reservation time starts and ends according to the package/seating time purchased regardless of what time you get IN the globe. If you're late, that's a bummer. We really don't like to be this rigid, but we've got sanitizing to do and the following globe guests to keep happy (that could be you next time).

Can I fit in the globe? Each globe can seat up to eight (8) guests. All globes are outfitted with lighting, lounge seating and a coffee table for food and drink.

What if we only have 4 people? Do we pay half price?

Every globe rental and package is the same price regardless of the size of your party.

Where should I go when I arrive?

Please enter through the front doors at Nineteen09. Our host will meet your party indoors and when your entire party arrives, escort you to your globe. We ask that your party arrive 15-20 minutes early to check-in, use the restroom and gather any additional beverages or items your party might need. This will give you more quality time in your globe and also limit the number of times the door to your globe opens, thus keeping you warmer! We encourage you to purchase food and beverages in advance of your reservation so that our staff may have your globe prepared for you.

What happens if our party is late?

We cannot extend or change the time of your reservation. If your party shows up, for example, an hour late, your rental would be for the remaining 60 minutes. Partial refunds will not be issued.

Is there an age limit for the globes?

All guests must be 21 years of age or older unless accompanied by a parent.

Is smoking allowed in the globes?

Um, no. Absolutely not. It is prohibited by Wisconsin law. Any guest found smoking or vaping will be asked to leave immediately along with their entire party, with no refund granted. Smoking/vaping is also not allowed on the patio outside your globe. Please head to the sidewalk to smoke.

Are the globes heated?

They are “heated”, but you will be sitting on a concrete patio, during the winter months, in Wisconsin, separated from the elements by a thin, plastic membrane. Please come dressed for a winter activity; hat, gloves, boots and a few layers that you can adjust to your own individual comfort level. We offer blankets available for purchase in our gift shop but you're welcome to bring your own. Snuggies optional.

Will the globes close for inclement weather?

In the case of extreme cold, blizzard, or dangerous icy conditions, we may need to cancel reservations to ensure safety and your comfort level. In these cases, you will be notified via email about an option to reschedule your booking or receive a complete refund.

Are pets allowed in the globes?

Pets are not allowed in the Nineteen09 Globes.

What happens if we damage the globe?

The globes can be damaged by impact, heat or puncture. We ask that you take precaution when moving in the globes and refrain from touching the walls or structure. The globes are inspected and cleaned/sanitized after every party; a damage fee may be added should any evidence of damage be found after your visit.

What's the restroom situation?

All Nineteen09 Globe guests are welcome to use the indoor restroom on the first floor at Nineteen09. We’d recommend using the facilities before going to your globe to avoid unnecessary opening of your globe door.

What is there to do inside the globes?

Don't like being in a full elevator? The globes might not be for you; they are only 12' in diameter after all. The globes do have a coffee table big enough for drinks and snacks and small games. Come and enjoy the company of the ones you love!

Food and Bevie FAQ

Can we bring our own food and drink?

Food? Yes. We do have several yummy options on our Globe menu but you are welcome to bring in your own snacks. That's right, we said it, you can bring your own food which is always our Nineteen09 policy!

Alcoholic Drinks? No. There are NO ALCOHOL CARRY-INS. You are welcome to bring your own food, but alcohol must be purchased through Nineteen09. Those caught carrying in alcohol will be asked to leave with no refund granted. This is a Wisconsin state law that if broken, puts our liquor license in jeopardy. Please just don't.

I'm driving. What are my options?

We have an extensive non-alcoholic beer and mocktail menu and do add a pitcher of water to every globe reservation.

How do I order food and beverage packages?

At the time of you reservation, and again with a reminder email 2 days prior, you'll be able to make food and any beverage choices from our Globe menu. The food and beverage options for the Nineteen09 Globes were designed specifically to be shared amongst a large group, in cozy quarters, on a patio, during winter, in Wisconsin. All food items are finger-friendly and served on platters and warm beverages are served in large thermoses, ensuring they remain hot throughout your stay. As a reminder, ordering food and/or beverages in advance is encouraged as your Globe will be prepared for your arrival.

Are there servers to get more food or drinks from?

Our globe host will be by to check on you once or twice, but in order to keep the heat inside, we like to limit the number of times we open your globe door. We highly recommend you bring everything you think you might need in to the globe with you when you first enter. Now, if you absolutely must have another bottle of wine (no judgement here), our phone number is listed inside the globe...simply ring us up and we'll bring it out!

How long do we have to finish our food and drink?

Each Nineteen09 Globe rental has an alotted time frame, giving you ample time to finish any food or drink you ordered in advance, which will be ready for you when arriving at your globe. If you don't finish your beverages or food in the two hours, there are to-go food containers and complimentary silicone wine corks provided in the globe. And you can always come in to Nineteen09 and finish up in the warmth!

Reservation FAQ

Two hours is not enough. How do I book more time in a globe?

Our seating times are set so that our team has ample time to clean and sanitize each globe between reservations. If you are interested in booking an additional hour, please email book@nineteen09.com to do so.

Is it possible to cancel my reservation?

Yes, you may cancel your reservation online for a full refund at any time before 72 hours of your reservation. Cancellations with less than 72 hours notice will be offered the balance as a credit for a future reservation. No-shows will not receive a refund or credit. Please email our event coordinator at book@nineteen09.com if you must cancel within 72 hours of your reservation.

Is it possible to change my reservation?

Yes, as long as it is before 72 hours of your reservation and we have additional booking slots open, you may change your reservation. You may modify your reservation using the link on the email confirmation you received for your original reservation. If we do not have additional times available, you may request a full refund if it is before 72 hours of your reservation.

Can we split the payments on multiple credit cards?

Short answer: not really. The online reservation payment you make for your base package and any food and beverage options must be paid with a single credit card at the time of booking your globe.

Can I use a Nineteen09 Gift Card to pay?

Any additional food or beverage items you purchase after your arrival can be paid for with a Nineteen09 Gift Card, but unfortunately, gift cards are not accepted for the online reservation system. If you have a gift card and would like to use it for your Globe reservation you'll need to call for a Promo Code to use online.

Can I host a private event in the globe?

Every reservation is a private event in the globes at Nineteen09! However, if you've got a special occasion; birthday, anniversary, engagement, etc. our event coordinator would happy to discuss options with you. Please note the following guidelines before reaching out to her: The globes cannot be moved. At all. We can't put them together or rotate them in any way. Guests cannot "jump" between the Globes, space is tight and this creates traffic and temperature issues that would interfere with enjoying the Nineteen09 Globe experience.
